Panther Post #32

This week is Catholic Education Week and Mental Health Awareness Week!

We are fortunate as a school community to celebrate Catholic Education Week. This year’s theme is “We are many, we are ONE” … And the St. Paul School Community is proud of our rich cultural diversity, wherein we are ONE Faith Community, united in our desire to serve God and to be His hands and feet as we go about this world … so that we make a positive difference in not only the lives of our students and community members but locally and globally. This month we are welcoming new students from all over the world, being an international school and hosting students from Columbia, etc.

The five sub-themes for Catholic Education Week illuminate the path to being many and one. We achieve this unity…

Monday: When we see / En voyant

Tuesday: When we listen / En écoutant

Wednesday: When we reflect / En réfléchissant

Thursday: When we learn / En apprenant

Friday: When we act / En agissant

Panther Post #30

Panther Community,

We hope that you are enjoying this fantastic warm weather spell!

School Highlights

This week our grade four students received bibles in a lovely celebration with Father Murry, teachers and families.

Our intermural volleyball season play ended with the final champions being 1, 2, 3.

Grade 4 students received Bibles during a lovely bible celebration with Father Murry, staff, family and friends.

As we enter Earth Week, we will work on the “WE” narrative and focus on how we can make our community and Earth sustainable for everyone. This often requires us to sacrifice convenience. We can help by bringing reusable water bottles and not asking for plastic cups, buying in bulk and separating into reusable containers for lunch snacks, and walking or biking to school instead of getting a ride. There are so many ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. Our ECO Team will be hard at work providing us with suggestions and ideas.

We are celebrating EARTH DAY at school on Thursday, April 19th. Wear Earth-tone clothes!

Our School WON Professional Development for 4 classes on the Mission to the Moon using our new Bots on April 19th!

Stay tuned for the amazing learning that will take place.
