in the Admin conference room.

It was an awesome experience!

Angel Tree / Food Drive

We, as a St Paul Community would like your assistance this Christmas Season in supporting our families that may be in need of a helping hand. We will begin our Christmas Drive beginning Monday, December 6th and will run until Monday, December 19th.

This year, we are once again reaching out to our families that are able/interested in supporting some of our families and the community that are currently experiencing some hardships and unable to access food and gifts for their children/family during the holiday season.

If you are interested in donating, below are the ways that you can support:

Angel Tree donations:

  • Again this year, we invite you to make donations through the cash online system. You will be able to donate to the St. Paul Family Christmas Fund. The following week, we will purchase gift cards for local businesses and deliver them to families. This is a preferred method to share your generosity as it allows the families to purchase gifts that best suit their wants/needs.
  • We will continue to collect new and unwrapped toys and clothes.

Food Collection: We will be collecting a variety of the following items:

  • Canned Goods (e.g., beans, corn, soup, pasta sauce, jam, honey, etc.)
  • Dry Goods (e.g., pasta noodles, rice, cereal, granola bars, crackers etc.)
  • Toiletries (e.g., toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap, etc.)

If you are a family or know of a family in the St. Paul community that would benefit from extra school resources this holiday season or any time throughout the year, please contact the Office by calling 519-743-4401 or email Bridget.Kuenzler@wcdsb.ca.

Thank you for your consideration in answering the call to serve those in need!

Panther Post

Welcome to our final week of November and the beginning of a new month. We usher in the beginning of Advent this week, when we prepare ourselves for the coming of Jesus Christ. What a wonderful time to open our hearts and truly feel the joy of the season!

We celebrated mass with our school for the first time in 3 years, and it was amazing!! The walk was brisk, but the student were fantastic on the walk and in church! What an amazing start to the Advent season.

Thank you
  • To all our parents for your time this week as staff, students and parents collaborated in interviews to support each student and their path to success. While we only have interviews once a year, please know our door is always open to continuing the conversations.
  • To all who worked hard to make a difference last week as we celebrated Kindness and Anti-Bullying Prevention Week. We all learned how it takes a village to stand up and stomp out hatred in every form. Thank you to everyone who participated in our daily activities.
  • For your support in the upcoming weeks as we will share our Advent/Christmas initiatives – and we delight in our community support and how blessed we are to celebrate our faith in our school.

Thank you for checking the forecast and ensuring your children have dressed appropriately for the weather outside. The changing weather can be difficult to plan for – but it is imperative that students come to school with boots and warm clothes to wear in the snowy/wet weather.  This also means that it is time to send in extra mittens and socks! Indoor shoes that are appropriate for the gym are essential too. We love our outdoor time at St. Paul and we will be going outside for recess and outdoor learning blocks unless the temperature is extremely cold. It is important that students dress for the conditions. Thank you for your help and understanding!

Student / Parent / Teacher Conference Last Night

Just a quick note of thanks for a wonderful evening tonight.  It was so great to see so many people back in the school and to be able to meet face-to-face once again.  More than a few people commented on how great it was to get “back to normal.”  We sincerely hope that you were able to hear some great things about your children last night and that you were able to hear about the goals that they have for themselves moving forward for the remainder of the term.

I want to take a moment to thank the staff as well.  So many staff members took a night away from their families to be with all of you, and their commitment to the students and our school is so appreciated.  I know you will join me in thanking them for their time.

St. Francis of Assisi brings you tidings of great joy!

Tidings of Comfort and Joy

Often the Advent season is absorbed into our secular preparation for Christmas celebration, leaving us wanting when it is all over.

Is this all there is? I now have more things, more debt, and more pounds to shed!

To invest in a prayerful preparation of the Advent season can assure us of a more fruitful takeaway.

We can learn how to seek and find true comfort and joy. A gift for the spirit which remains when all else has been forgotten.

Come join us on Saturday Dec 3rd and find out how you too can invest in a more meaningful Christmas.

Start time:  9:30 am for welcome and refreshments
