“People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.”

—Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

The Staff at St Paul would like to wish our students and their families a very Blessed and Happy Christmas Holiday. May the joy of the birth of our Saviour guide you through the holiday season. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to support your children in their education. Your contributions to our school life help to make St Paul an amazing place to learn together. Please take time with your families and friends over this Blessed and Holy holiday season.

This Sunday marks the third week of Advent – Gaudette Sunday. This week we light the Pink Candle, recognizing the joy we experience when we are faithful to God.  Please enjoy the following video to help you continue the spirit of Advent!  This is Christmas

Director’s Report

Each year in December the Director of Education publishes a report outlining the accomplishments of the School Board for the previous school year. Please follow the following link to review the report for the 2017-18 school year.

Lost and Found

Parents/ Guardians  – Are you missing a pair of mitts?  or shoes? a jacket or hat? Please have your child check out our lost and found table to retrieve any missing items. Any unclaimed items will be donated to the St Vincent de Paul over the Christmas holidays.

Christmas Angel Tree and Christmas Family Fund

Thank you for your incredible generosity. With your support, we have gathered dozens of toys and gifts and over $1400 to help the many families at St Paul who will benefit from our assistance this Christmas. It truly gives me a great deal of pride to see so many people donating – and it is true, every little bit counts, the vast majority of the donations were $5 and $10!

Christmas Concert

This year we are excited to be able to present a Christmas concert for our parents at St Paul. Due to our increasing size, our Parent Christmas Concert will be for the families only (the students at St Paul will get to see each other perform on Thursday afternoon). This year our focus will be students in grades JK – 6. Our intermediate students will be performing only for the students on Thursday afternoon.

When: Wednesday, December 19 – 9:45 – 11:00 am

Tentative Schedule:

Please note that these are tentative times, performances may go before or after the allotted time frame.

9:45 – 10:00 – Early Years

10:00 – 10:30 – Primary Classes

10:30 – 11:00 – Junior Classes
Cold Winter Days

With the winter months approaching, winter safety is an important consideration. Children should always come to school dressed appropriately for the outside each day. Even in extreme cold when they might be kept inside, there is always the consideration of coming to and from school, as well as the risk of an emergency procedure where we must evacuate the building. When the snow hits the ground, students are going to be tempted to play in it. There will be no throwing snow or ice. Snow must be left on the ground. Students should also follow the direction of the supervision staff about playing on snow piles. Sometimes these piles will be deemed off-limits. School winter safety policies are designed to protect everyone on school property from injury.

During periods of severe weather, your best sources of information about possible school closing and/or school bus cancellation is the School Board Website or a local radio stations. Please do not call the school.

St Francis Parish

We are very proud of our partnership with St Francis Parish. In order to continue to build on this relationship, each week we will be providing our community with a link to access the Church Bulletin so you may keep yourself apprised of the many events at the Parish.
