What a fantastic week of learning with  Justin Snowden from Breakthrough Martial Arts! Classes received two lessons during their weekly gym time to learn more about martial arts! Special thanks to Breakthrough Martial Arts for choosing our school to work with!

Have you recently replaced your cell phone and now have an old cell phone lying around the house? We are looking for cell phones to use with some of our new learning devices. If you have one and would like to donate it to the school, please drop it off in the main office.

Please see the message from our director, Loretta Notten:

It gives me great pleasure to share with you The Director’s Annual Report from Waterloo Catholic DSB.  It is a proud reflection of all of the incredible, inclusive, faith-filled work that characterizes our system day in and day out.  It celebrates our many accomplishments against our articulated goals from our Multi-Year Strategic Plan, which was renewed and launched in January of 2019.  It bears witness to our strong relationships with parishes, parents and our community.

We hope you will take a few minutes to journey through the report and to enjoy the many accomplishments of our #WCDSBAwesome staff and students!  It is a privilege and an honour to work with the staff and broader community at Waterloo Catholic. Our students are indeed well positioned to realize their full potential to transform God’s world.  #CalledToBelong

UMBRELLA SKILLS – Cognitive Flexibility

This month our focus is on building cognitive flexibility. What will cognitive flexibility do for my child? Life doesn’t always follow a predictable pattern; cognitive flexibility helps our children navigate this uncertainty and feel like they have more options when faced with challenges. As things change around them, they need to change in order to maintain their wellbeing. With cognitive flexibility your child will be better able to change strategies when faced with new and unexpected situations, make sense of the unfamiliar and thrive in uncertainty.

Thank you for your incredible generosity once again! Both our Angel Tree donations and our Family Christmas Fund have received numerous donations and many St Paul Families will be directly supported as a result. As a reminder – Sunday, Dec 15th is the last day to donate through Cash Online to our Family Christmas Fund.

We will continue to collect Angel Tree items until Tuesday, February 17th. Thank you again.

The draw for the Kitchener Rangers Tickets for any families who donated more than $10 online will be completed  later this week

Popcorn Sales will continue this week!

So, bring in your loonies Panthers and enjoy a tasty treat.

We are very proud of our partnership with St Francis Parish. In order to continue to build on this relationship, each week we will be providing our community with a link to access the Church Bulletin so you may keep yourself apprised of the many events at the Parish.
