Congratulations and Farewell Wishes

St. Paul Families,

Wishing to let you know that Mr. Mitchell who has been the Head Custodian at St. Paul for the last 6 years or so, will be leaving our school community to take on a new role at the WCDSB Board Office as Head Custodian. Mr. Mitchell’s last day at St. Paul will be Friday, Jan. 29/21. On behalf of the staff, students and families, we extend our sincere gratitude for all of Mr. Mitchell’s contributions over the years. He will certainly be missed and we wish him all the best in his new location!!!

We also look forward to welcoming  Mr. Ward, who will be our new Head Custodian beginning February 1/21. We invite you to extend a warm Panther welcome to Mr. Ward when you have the opportunity to meet him!

Week at a Glance – Jan. 17

St. Paul Panther Families,

Last week was our second week of Remote Learning and despite some of the challenges encountered, it seems that overall it was another successful week of learning. Thank you to everyone for your patience as we learn how to download, upload, reload and deal with internet connectivity problems. We should all celebrate and be proud of making it through another week!

Just a reminder that this Friday, January 22, 2021 is a PA Day. All staff will be involved in professional development activities throughout the day, and there is no school for students on Friday! We hope that students will have the opportunity to “step away” from screen time and take the day to relax and have some FUN!!

School Events for the Week:

Wed. Jan. 20 – Panther Spirit Day (Wear your St. Paul Spiritwear and/or Red and Black)

Fri. Jan. 22 – PA Day: NO School for Students

Good Morning Panthers Families,

Thank you for your patience
We have been informed that Google Meet and Google Classroom is having some technical issues and some classes may be having difficulty connecting board-wide.
It appears that many are experiencing this challenge.
We are in the process of getting the issue resolved.

Week at a Glance – Jan. 10

Dear St. Paul Families,

As you know we will not be returning to school as planned Monday, January 11th due to the Provincial government’s announcement to extend virtual/remote learning from home until January 25th.

As we get ready for our second week, we would like to express how very proud we are of our St. Paul students for their hard work and putting their best efforts forward during this past week’s start to virtual learning. It was also really nice to see all of their smiling faces, on-line, without the mask.

We are also very appreciative to our parents and guardians for your support and assisting your child(ren) with their learning. We encourage you to continue to stay engaged in their learning and reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions.

Re: Attendance – Parents/Guardians, please remember that teachers are required to take attendance at the beginning of each of our school start times ie. 8:20 am and 12:05 pm. IF YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ATTENDING, PARENTS NEED TO CALL THE SCHOOL TO REPORT THE ABSENCE AND INDICATE THE REASON FOR THE ABSENCE. Mrs. Pieczewski will be following up as she normally would if a teacher has marked a student absent and a parent has not called in to report the student’s absence.

Calendar Events/Activities for this week:

Wed. Jan 13 – Panther Spirit Wear (and/or wear black and red) Day

Fri. Jan. 15 – Winter/Snowflake Toque or Hat Day

PANTHERS, we CAN do this by continuing to work together! Be strong! Stay home and stay healthy!
